Aprica is situated on a sunny plateau that connects Val Camonica and Valtellina, creating a harmonious landscape where the Orobie Alps take center stage. The town is surrounded by larch and fir forests, which open up to wide clearings, scenic trails, and views that change colors with the seasons. The ambiance is typical of mountain villages—lively yet never chaotic—with shops, cafes, and small artisan stores enlivening the town center.
The area is popular both in summer and winter. When snow blankets the peaks, the ski resort offers slopes for all skill levels, ski schools, and trails dedicated to snow sports. During the warmer months, the paths leading to the Pian di Gembro Nature Reserve, the Stelvio National Park, and the high-altitude alpine pastures invite long walks amidst the scents of alpine grass and refreshing silence. Just a few kilometers away, the eco-faunal observatory allows visitors to watch deer, ibex, and roe deer in a protected setting.
Additionally, Aprica serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the region. The famous Bernina Express, a UNESCO World Heritage site, departs from Tirano and ascends through glaciers and spectacular landscapes up to St. Moritz. Historical villages, the wineries of Valtellina, and cycling routes offer even more experiences for a vacation that combines nature, relaxation, and exploration.
