More info
I am Francesca, a journalist profession with a deep passion for my city, Milan, where I was born and where I have always lived. Casa Caterina was the dream of my grandmother, a Sicilian who emigrated in the 1960s to a Milan under construction. Here she rolled up her sleeves, found work and, all by herself, raised children and relatives of her large family, with determination and without ever breaking down. She has always wanted to make hospitality and her great culinary skills a profession, creating an inn in her home, in via Tortona, where she has always lived, but she has not been able to make it happen. I inherited her dream and, refreshing my years of experience spent in catering and tourism, I realize it by projecting it into a modern context, where grandma Caterina's hospitality is renewed. Grandma's house, which over the years has been a point of reference for many people looking for a smile, support and a piece of warm scacciata as only grandma could prepare, now becomes a welcoming and contemporary place. But with the same, identical hospitality of grandmother Caterina.
